Ever since watching Tori and Dean the other night, I have had the biggest urge to chop my hair again. I mean, how could these oh-so-high-quality images not sway you to lop off your locks at this very moment???

Okay, so maybe I just swiped every photo from the Oxygen photo gallery, but what can I say – I love a good reverse bob! (And I think I am on the fast track to becoming a Tori Spelling hairstyle stalker!) This reminds me of when Jessica Simpson was in her Newlyweds heyday and I was obsessed with her hair as well:

And while we are on a celebrity kick, yesterday I did the Kim Kardashian workout from this month’s issue of Shape, and oh dear lord…

…my rear has officially been kicked in gear! Yeesh! I guess I should have known better, given that KK is famous for her generous backside (among other things). Which reminds me of my most favorite line from last night’s epic finale on Glee:

“Kiss my ASS, Josh Groban!”

5 words I bet you never thought you would hear in the same sentence.

P.S. Notice anything different about the bloggity blog? A summer-inspired face-lift was just what the doctor ordered…

Run, Run, Run, Runaway

20 Apr

I’ve been forcing myself to run lately. And I’m kinda liking it.

I’ve never been a fan of running. Even when I knowingly joined the track team in high school, for not one but TWO years. Although I have to admit joining the team had very little to do with running. It had very much do with a certain boy and a certain track sweatshirt (see above). Totally worth it for that sweatshirt alone. But I digress…

Anyways, I consider myself a very active person who works out almost everyday. Hiking, biking, rollerblading, kickboxing, tae-boing (correct verbage? hahaha!), elliptical-ing, walking, Spinning, strength training, Jillian Michaels-ing, shopping til I drop…I’m down for any of these things at anytime. But running? Ehhhh…

But, thanks to the inspiration of some very good (and very fit) friends, I am newly inspired. Sarah is a crazy multi-marathoner. Jaymee runs various races ending in the letter “K.” Heather and Angie did 13.1 miles like it was nothing. I mean, come on! How can you have friends like this and not be totally motivated? Plus, Jaymee just introduced me to the most hilarious/inspiring running blog called SkinnyRunner (I think I’ve read almost half her blog already, I feel an obsession coming on!).

I just wanted to put this out there, if for no other reason than to remind myself months from now, oh yeah, I did do that newfangled workout trend called running. Go me. HA!
