Ann-Marie Loves Paper

26 Aug

I don’t know what it is about me and constantly wanting to change my blog name, but here I go again! If you are so inclined to make the jump, you can now find me (with the same content, only a new name) HERE!

Hope to see you there!

Monday Monday

24 May

Hi all! Like I promised, I am here with some photos of what I have been up to:

I feel like I have so many fun stories to tell and of course, plenty of supplies to tell them with, so that’s what’s inspiring me these days!

Feather Your Nest

4 May

This past weekend I became OBSESSED with reorganizing my room and workspace and all that jazz that has been occupying precious spacious in my tiny little neck of the woods. Fun, fun, fun. I love a good burst of inspiration to make things happen. Here’s a few images that made me want to sign up for a credit card with IKEA stat:

Layout Land

22 Apr

I’ve been a busy girl cranking out the layouts these past couple of days, in between working and coming down from my Glee high – ha!  First up is a layout for the American Crafts blog . The challenge was to use at least 2 items from the new Dear Lizzy collection, which was no problem for me! I have been hoarding her products since the moment they burst on the scene!

Journaling says: “For the past few years, I have been obsessed with pink Nike running shoes! My newest kicks are the pinkest ones yet and the best at motivating me to workout!”

And of course, the fabric paper is SO much fun to play with (especially when combined with pinking shears and some flower folding action!) and it comes in the prettiest patterns. I also used two of the patterned papers,  in addition to the Whistel stamp set and the Clover Bloss Thickers. Honestly, I am in LOVE with this line.

Second up is my challenge for last week: to scrap a non-holiday layout using holiday- themed product.

A little mix of holiday Sassafras and Cosmo Cricket = tons of fun! Thanks for stopping by!

Thursday Round-Up

15 Apr

Hi everyone!

I just spent all morning creating in my PJ’s while listening to videos on my iPod and then I went outside to get the mail and found my new running shoes sitting by the door!

Of course I immediately had to put them on and take a few victory laps around the house! They are just the inspiration I need to get to the gym after being cooped up in my room all morning!

And the motivation behind my A.M. scrap session would be this challenge from Cherie! I had SO much fun creating the subtle bicycle motif as the pattern for the pink paper:

All it took was some clear embossing powder, VersaMark ink, and my favorite new Paper Source stamp! I love the “pop” it creates without being too overwhelming. And that leads me to this week’s challenge:

Create a non-holiday layout using holiday-themed supplies! I know I have a ton of holiday supplies (especially Christmas and Valentine’s) that I seem to skip over during the non-holiday seasons of the year. So if nothing else, it will get me to use up all those beautiful papers and embellishments before next Christmas gets here and all the new lines come out! Ha!

P.S. My heart skipped a beat when I read on Ali’s blog today that next week starts the “Week In Your Life” series! Every year I am so enthralled with her work and photos and this year I am determined to do it myself. I’m playing with the idea of printing my photos on a smaller scale and creating a 12×12 for each day. How fun would that be? Eeeeeee! 🙂

Adventures in Glendale and Beyond

5 Mar

Yesterday, as I previously mentioned, I dropped off another huge order of hair accessories to Local Collection in Glendale. So of course, I brought along John to keep me company and appease me with photos (much to his dismay – ha!). After taking care of business matters, we walked over to the beautiful Americana at Brand, just across the way.

Look how happy he is to take a photo with me! Haha! But seriously, look how gorgeous the scenery is behind us! Whenever we go there, I instantly feel like we are on vacation – now that is what a shopping experience should feel like! City planners, take note!

I loved this quote on the window at American Eagle. True, true…

Above Americana are these amazing apartment/condominiums. I can only imagine how cool it would be to reside there!

Cozy sidewalk cafe seating – love that. Being that we had plans that night (sitting in front of the TV watching the Thursday night lineup on NBC, that is. We live life on the edge!), we had to hit the road and brave the traffic. But first I got a coffee from Peet’s (which, I have determined tastes exactly like coffee at Disneyland, just FYI) and took in the sights one more time. I love going to Glendale!

And of course, what glorious day is complete without a trip to Chipotle? In the wise words of Rachael Ray, yum-o.

Happy Friday everyone!

Purse Organization!

17 Feb

Being that I tend to err on the side of suitcase over clutch when it comes to my taste in bag sizes, I am constantly encountering the issue of The Abyss. It’s like going on a treasure hunt each time I have to find my phone or more importantly, my wallet as I get up to the counter to pay. Well let me tell you, I had reached my limit. I LOVE my new yellow purse but it was crying out for some organizing!

Enter 1/2 yard of linen purchased for a whopping $1.30 and my sewing machine and here you have it:

Voila! Mission Purse Organization: Complete! It may not have perfectly straight stitching lines, but it is perfect for me! I am no planner and I don’t “do” directions well; I simply dive in head first. I’m just grateful I had the foresight not to sew a pocket on upside down – ha! I feel so much more accomplished now that I am all organized and able to find what I need when I need it. Phew!
